Our October 28 practice was lovely and included a thoughtful and insightful conversation about holding space, for our listeners and each other, and how holding space may differ in the various places in which we sing.   We also spent a few moments to remind ourselves of the Threshold Choir Mission and why we call our time together "practice."  

Our practices prepare us for singing for those at life's thresholds and they go beyond reviewing and learning songs.  We also take time to center our circle, connect with each other, hone our vocal skills, and nurture our chapter.  

While we didn't have time to review the values embraced by Threshold Choir at every level, these values are foundational to the work we do, the service we offer, and the culture of our community. 

Threshold Choir, as do we, value:
  • honesty, sincerity, care, and respect in all our interactions. 
  • each person’s own life path, choices, and experiences.

We were also thrilled to share at our October 28 practice that Alix, Avery, and Melinda are our newest members to our Philadelphia Threshold Singers circle and Threshold Choir.   We will have welcome them formally at our next practice on November 11.
